Jason Seiler describes himself as a traditional painter at heart but taught himself how to draw digitally in order to keep up with the fast-paced world of publishing.

8. The Gnome by Damien Canderle

This character was first shaped when Damien Canderle was beta-testing ZBrush 3 – after sculpting from a sphere and ending up with the gnome's face, Damien decided to carry on and make a full body and complete character.

Laurent Gaumer's Brachoide is designed as a scientist coming to "earth” for a secret mission – his large suit can accommodate food for weeks and also contains survival kits and useful tools.
